LANCIA STRATOS - Cosworth DFV
Based on an Argo Group C 2 car with a vaguely Lancia-lookalike body and a DFV F1 engine in the back, this one was peddled by sometime F3000, F3, FF2000 hotshoe Dave Coyne - a man who always seemed to have abundant talent in big fast single seaters but never the breaks to go where that talent should have taken him.
Most memorably he ran the last laps of the October 1993 race (right) with the bodywork gradually catching fire(below), seemingly in full awareness of the fact, until crossing the finish line and taking the win. THEN he promtply stopped very lose to a fire marshall's post!
